A really stunning Custom Commander from Chuck Rogers. Chuck is well known for his never-fail combat guns, and built some amazing raceguns early in his career. This Colt was built in 2006 and represents some superb machine and handwork. Chuck’s seamless magwell soldered on, sharp 30 LPI checkering. Chuck’s custom mag release paddle finely checkered. This gun came in with the original Esmerelda wood grips dehorned and fit by Chuck, I fit a fresh set of VZ palmswells to it, both sets are included. I tried to emulate Chucks great dehorn job on the VZ’s. This Colt has been shot and carried some, but the hardchrome finish has held up very well, there are some fine pin-prick points of corrosion in the rear cocking serrations, but the gun shows extremely well. Chuck’s work rarely comes to market, and for good reason, the amount of little touches inside and outside this gun show his obsessive dedication to perfection. Look at the modified and beveled Novak rear sight, the trigger lightening, the Ambi safety stop pin, seamless solder work, perfect machining, I can go on and on. Gun comes as shown with 2 sets of grips and one CMC mag.
