Really early piece here from Mark Morris - Morris Custom Pistols. Mark has been a standard in the Custom 1911 game for decades, this gun is a great look at his early work. MCP was founded in 1986, and I imagine this pistol was built in the early 90s, the Colt was MFG in 1990.

This Gold Cup has a Wichata fully adjustable rear sight fit, a Match bushing fit the Colt NM barrel. Frame rails have been lightly peened and polished to improve fit. All the reliability work one would expect is there. The trigger replaced with a lightweight unit, along with a quality hammer, 80 series parts polished. Gun was fitted nicely with an Ed Brown competition thumb safety and a Brown beavertail grip safety. The Smith and Alexander MSH/Magwell is nicely fitted and beveled. Gun comes as shown with one mag. This gun has been shot but should be a great carry gun or range toy!
