1988 Jim Garthwaite Custom -- Colt 10mm Govt Model -- Comp / Pin Gun
Really cool, really early comp gun from the late great master Jim Garthwaite. This gun started life as a 1988 9mm or 38 Govt model, Delta Elites were brand new in those days, but gunsmiths had been converting 9/38 guns to 10mm for a few years. Barsto barrel fitted with a coned single port comp. Custom guide rod made to help support the comp in recoil. Slide shortened, so barrel finished at about 5”. Gun is nicely fitted and has a Swenson single sided TS and an old Wilson beavertail. Custom checkered arched MSH, BoMar buried, nicely tuned trigger, serrated rear of the slide, beveled magwell. Sure this thing was a bowling pin slayer in her day.
