Alonzo Crull Full Custom Colt SAA -- 22 LR Lightweight Conversion
Alonzo Crull, a Machinist by trade, took to building custom Colt SAA’s, most notably converting them to 22 LR. He started crafting them prior to WWII, and was tinkering with guns nearly 60 of his 100 years. This Colt Shows much of his token modifications, including custom machined barrels with not one but 2 integral ribs, one for the sight and one for the ejector rod housing. The gun has a high polished blue finish, which weakened the frame markings, SN re-applied. 3 Line 3 Date frame. The action of this gun exhibited some wear when it came to my possession and I sent it to Alan Harton, who fully rebuilt the bottom half of the hammer among other things.
